The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, April 12 reveals Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will crash her memorial service.
Also coming up, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will get an alarming message. Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will make her feelings clear. And Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will ask Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to attend an appointment with her.
Y&R spoilers tease Summer will run into Sally and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at Crimson Lights. Sally will offer to provide help to Summer at the memorial service. But Summer will say everyone will be mourning her mom. “Do you really think that she would want you there? Especially now that you’ve glommed on to my father.” After Summer leaves, Sally will tell Nick she’s right, Phyllis wouldn’t want her there.

So, Sally will take a seat and Adam will arrive. She’ll ask him to join her and they’ll talk about parenthood. Then their conversation will turn to his dealings with his father and the whole McCall Unlimited fiasco. Sally will say there’s something that could take it off his mind. She’ll ask him to come with her to the appointment where she’ll learn their baby’s gender. Then the baby will kick her and she’ll place Adam’s hand on her stomach.
At the Jazz Club, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be surprised when Chance arrives. Summer will walk up to the cop and ask him to watch Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) reactions carefully. She’ll say there’s no way her mother-in-law will be able to hide her guilt.
Then Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will walk in and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will confront him. He’ll tell Jack Diane is guilty. “She killed Phyllis.” Chance will approach and tell Stark it’s a private family service and he’s not welcome. “I think you should turn your attention to the real perpetrator, Diane, and stop bullying me,” Stark will reply. But Chance will escort him out.

Meanwhile, GCAC female staff, in uniform, will stand at the right side of the room. And a disguised Phyllis will join them. Summer will ask everyone to take their seats. She’ll give a tearful eulogy. “I am so sorry mom. I’m sorry that I doubted you and I would give anything to have you back right now,” Summer will say. “I would tell you right now that I love you and I believe you.” Behind her, Phyllis’ eyes will widen.
Then Summer will ask Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazaidei) to say a few words but he won’t be able to. However, his daughter Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will talk about Phyllis. Nick, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will also share their memories. Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) words about her will make Phyllis grin. And Jack will get emotional as he recounts he and Phyllis being stuck in an elevator during Summer’s birth.
Finally, Chance will get a message from Maggie at the GCPD. “We know who bought the strychnine,” it’ll say. Chance will reply that he needs a name. “Diane Jenkins,” Maggie will respond.
